Railroad Island RENEWs (Rehabilitation and Efficiency: Neighborhood Energy Works) is a collaboration between Energy CENTS, Dayton's Bluff Neighborhood Housing Services and Xcel Energy.  RENEWs will offer eligible homeowners FREE energy conservation improvements and access to no or low-cost housing fix-up funds.  Eligible rental property owners can receive free energy audits and 50% off all energy conservation improvements.

RENEWs is a three-year pilot program approved by the MN Public Utilities Commission and the MN Department of Commerce.

RENEWs will begin in August 2018 and continue through December 2020.  Each year, the number of participants and the budget will grow but funds are very limited.  If applications exceed available funds, a waiting list will be established.

If you or your tenants meet the income guidelines above, you may be eligible for free energy audits, free or discounted replacements of your furnaces, water heaters, attic and wall insulation and electric appliance replacement.
