CenterPoint Energy Gas Customers


The CenterPoint Energy Low Income Rental Efficiency Program is designed to target higher usage 1-4 unit rental properties in CenterPoint Energy’s gas territory. We work with landlords to help improve their properties and lower tenants gas bills. Landlords are required to pay 50% of the cost of all improvements and CenterPoint Energy covers the other half. 
The service area includes all of CenterPoint Energy gas territory in Minnesota. If you are a renter who has received Energy Assistance or are a Section 8 participant, you may qualify for our program. Please contact your landlord about participating. If you are a landlord and at least ½ of the tenants in your building are considered low income, please call our office or see our application (below) to learn more.

Services
Depending on each property’s needs, we may:

  • Provide a FREE Energy Audit through the Neighborhood Energy Connection
  • Replace the furnace/boiler
  • Replace the water heater
  • Insulate attics and walls
  • Address related health/safety concerns or repairs
